Conley’s saw more time than usual due to Sammy Watkins leaving the game early with a hamstring injury. Watkins only had 12 offensive snaps in the game. Demarcus Robinson’s time was also up—he saw 45 offensive snaps for 58 percent.Chiefs running back Spencer Ware’s snaps were up—he was on the field for 24 offensive snaps (31 percent). Starter Kareem Hunt, by comparison, had 45 offensive snaps (58 percent). The members of the secondary—cornerbacks Kendall Fuller and Steve Nelson and safeties Eric Murray and Ron Parker—were your iron men on Monday night. Those players were on the field 100 percent of the time.Linebacker Justin Houston and Anthony Hitchens were on the field for nearly the entire time, too—they had 58 snaps apiece. Reggie Ragland’s snaps were way down from last game. The Chiefs only had Ragland, who had preseason knee issues http://www.authenticskansascitychiefs.com/cheap-dustin-colquitt-jersey , on the field for 26 defensive snaps. For the first time all year, outside linebacker Tanoh Kpassagnon out-snapped Breeland Speaks. Kpassagnon had 18 defensive snaps to Speaks’ 16. Dee Ford had 30 defensive snaps (50 percent), as he left the game with a groin issue. It only took rookie safety Armani Watts 12 defensive snaps to register the first sack of his career. There was also a Dorian O’ Daniel sighting—he had two snaps on defense.Cornerback Charvarius Ward replaced Tremon Smith in the lineup, but he saw no defensive snaps—only 11 on special teams. LB Ben Niemann didn’t see any defensive action either—only 14 special-teams snaps.Watch the Chiefs-Pats game with AP, get a t-shirt (only 20 left!) Greetings, Arrowhead Pride friends. We are gearing up for the AP watch party this Sunday night for the Chiefs-Patriots game. Myself along with other AP writers will be meeting at The Other Place in Overland Park, Kansas. Kickoff is at 7:20 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) so come on out. If you want an AP t-shirt — there are only 20 left! — you can RSVP here and that will also get you a drink ticket and a spot in the raffle for the $100 StubHub gift card.Click here to RSVP for an AP t-shirt.One of my favorite things to do is talk about Arrowhead Pride and how we started. We can sit back at the bar, grab a beer and I want to tell you the story of how AP started. And I want to hear about how you became a part of the community. Maybe we’ll will even FaceTime Chris Thorman in.I also want to talk about covering the Chiefs for AP over the last 10 years. What’s the best part about covering the game from the press box? (It’s the pregame buffet. I don’t eat breakfast gameday mornings so that I get my money’s worth [$0] of what the Chiefs are serving.) What is the best story I’ve covered in the Chiefs locker room? What is the worst? Does Sam Mellinger’s hair really look like that?Mrs. Arrowhead Pride doesn’t ask me these things, so I need another outlet to tell my stories. Let’s do it on Sunday night. Go Chiefs.
