I was shocked by microsoft compensation strategy in a nutshell: salary does not depend on your gender, religion, race and country, but on your skills and experience. Why are we raising such a question at all? Isn’t it natural that you look at the quality of the work done, and not at the person himself? Does eye color, gender, or whether you wear skirts matter when people are good at what they do.
That is, Microsoft is great, I recommend everyone to read the article, but it confuses me that such a strategy is not followed in principle by everyone.
